An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager here at Autoglass® to lead the category planning, strategic sourcing and management of spend (including supplier and contract management) for your assigned category area(s), in order to reduce our indirect purchasing spend, improve supplier performance and deliver more value from what we do spend.

Tell me more about the role - is this for me? 

We are in a period change here at Autoglass® so your role will be to work with our leaders to provide improvements to our procurement activity around 2 of our biggest spend areas to include IT and fleet, recognising the complexities and drivers for our business. Our growth agenda means that there will be exposure and expectation to work at a local and global level with our group procurement teams to drive group savings and supply synergies.

You'll be a procurement professional looking to join a global business and extend your skill set or someone looking for that next step in your procurement career. Ideally you will be qualified at level 5 CIPS however we will support this and further learning if you have strong experience. You'll be able to tell us about your strong negoitiation and contracting skills, excellent planning and organisation skills, and it is key that you have the ability to think strategically, understanding that this is a fast paced environment so having a flexible approach is just part of the job!


What will I be doing?

  • Proactive leadership and accountability for all procurement activity and management of third party spend within the allocated categories
  • Developing and managing the execution of the procurement plan and strategy for categories in scope, in partnership with relevant business stakeholders to ensure full buy in before sign off
  • Providing guidance, direction and strategic advice relating to procurement planning and execution for relevant categories the post holder is responsible for
  • Communication and management of relationship with external suppliers and partners at the relevant seniority levels, both during procurement process and during the service delivery phase
  • Forecasting and planning, including preparing the business case and reporting for complex procurement project support, and any information required from external market sources
  • Minimise / eliminate spend through various activities – price, specification, usage, alternative solution, etc.
  • Ensure supplier performance review meetings are undertaken by the budget holder on relevant suppliers
  • Ensure supplier selection and supplier audits are undertaken in line with our procedures and with due consideration for political, economic, social, technological, legal, market and environmental impact for Belron® UK
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate and up to date contract register for all categories within the scope of the role
  • Proactive engagement with the business to plan and support procurement activity, supplier relationships, performance management and contract management
